Over the years I have constantly been trying to find the book that inspired the movie ( or tv mini series ) Rose Red by Stephen King. For the longest time I could not find anything. Recently I picked up this book, The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, and immediately realized that this was it. The inspiration!! What a fantastic read. So naturally I picked up more of her books and dug out my old DVD of Rose Red. ❤️ Lovely.
