I was celebrating New Year on Gili island and it was fantastic! Gilis are one of my favorite places in the world. I also made a vlog for you there. I will share soon here on IG tv.
For those of you who plan a trip to Bali, Gili is a small paradise! I am just in love with the energy of these small islands. It’s a special atmosphere: there are no cars, no motorbikes, only some electric motorbikes used by locals. Most of the people there use bicycles 🚲 and wagon with horses 🐎
It’s really a magical place! Crystal clear water, friendly atmosphere of a small island, turtles in the ocean 🐢
There are 3 Gili islands: Trawangan, Meno and Air. Trawangan is most crowded and the biggest one, Meno is the smallest and mostly for couples and romantic atmosphere. Now during the pandemic is the most quite among all 3. My favorite is Gili Air 😍 I love it as its super cosy, has live music, beautiful wide beach with outstanding view on the Lombok mountains and lagoon, good food, good balance of being quite and joyful at the same time, just special for me!
